Double Digits: TEN months!

Ella & Sydney are magicians.  That's the only way to describe the magic trick they've pulled - turning 10 months in the blink of an eye!  But man, it's been so much fun.  Minus the whole RSV-hospital-miserableness that was half of January.  It's been awesome.  The girls get more fun with each passing day.  I remember thinking this with Abby - that each time we saw her it seemed to be more fun, she was more alert and interactive and always giggling.  It's awesome that's how things are with my own little ladies - so.much.fun.

They both crawl around like crazy.  Just recently, in the past week or so, Ella has started to really crawl on all fours like a champ - she was doing this weird arm-crawl-fuss-pick-me-up thing.  But we just let her be and now she's an animal!  The girls will crawl all over - following each other from the family room to the kitchen to play with the alphabet magnets on the fridge or the bag of potatoes near the pantry.  Then they move back into the family room and will play with different toys, and fight over the same one.  Then we will get on the floor with them and they want to crawl on top of you.  Seriously - so cute, so fun.  Fun.  And again.  Sydney pulls up on just about anything she can - the chair, the dishwasher, different toys, her crib.  Just last night, she pulled up onto the dishwasher - and it was closed!  She's getting good.

Let's see, what are some other tricks they do.  They both wave (kind of), clap, and talk TO each other.  When I put them down for a nap, I'll occasionally watch them and they are just jibber jabbering back and forth.  Ella gets really close to the crib bars, and Sydney is just standing up like a fool.

Ella is now 15 lbs 9 oz (she's dropped off the growth chart, thanks in-part to RSV) and is 27.5" long.  Sydney is now 13 lbs even (full of fat and rolls ;) ) and is 26.5" long.

They are both as healthy as can be.  Though, they have small heads.  It's funny - we talked so much while I was pregnant about our petite girls.  I never imagined I would have two 10 month olds wearing 3-6 month clothes.  The doctors talked to us in depth about their short femur bones, Ella being growth restricted at the end, and them just being small in general.  Here we are, still talking about their tiny size.  But it's amazing - they are so tiny and so cute and I just can't get enough of their big personalities.  And how absolutely different they are.  The way they play with toys, the way they talk and laugh and eat and fight RSV, ha.

They light up every single bit of our lives.  It's incredibly hard to believe we are going to start planning a first birthday party so soon!
