Five years ago, we had our sweet set of twin girls. Sugar and spice, and all things nice - that's what our world was made of. When we asked Caiti (and at the time, with her mama) to photograph our sweet newborns, I had no idea she'd stick with us for all of our "seasons", but I'm SO glad she did! The idea started after our first birthday session, when I knew I wanted annual pictures, but without the same backdrop. The next year, I had a vision of beach pictures, and she took a dream and turned it into a beautiful reality. The following year, we almost didn't make it before sunset when I had accidentally left the dresses at home, but we had beautiful fall pictures. Here's a recap for memory lane:

And then... a winter wonderland. I knew it was our year for snow pictures, so in August, I found beautiful dresses that would look perfect and bought them. It snows - at least one good snow - each year in VA. So Caiti and I knew as soon as it snows, we'll be out there to get our session in. Well.... the forecast kept staying warm-ish with no snow in sight. I started to look at some of the VA mountains to travel to snow... which is, well, crazy. And finally, just in the nick of time, we finally had snow in the forecast coming from the South. It happened overnight and only stayed around for a few hours, so as soon as the sun came up that morning, we got ourselves dresses and headed down to Caiti's house. And the results .... just perfection.
