Love Letter to Ella Grace

Our sweet little Ella Grace,
Yesterday was Valentine's Day.  Holidays just seem way more magical and fun with little ones.  Yesterday morning I woke you and Sydney up and smothered you in kisses and said "Happy Valentine's Day!" and you replied with a simple "no".  I love you more than anything, and what do you love?  You love the word no.  Did you poop? No.  Do you want to go outside? No.  Happy Valentine's Day! No.  Despite your two-letter-word obsession, you're just incredible.  You make us laugh each and every day.  You also kind of suck at listening, so you also drive us mad.  Though, you have the sweetest disposition.  You are quiet, but command quite a presence.  Last weekend you stayed at Nana and Papa's house, and Nana said Sydney woke up about 30 minutes before you did, and she didn't breathe a word until she heard you wake up on the monitor and yelled "EYYA!".  The two of you are the absolute cutest.  You make our hearts grow bigger and bigger each and every day.

A few things we love about you:
  • when you give anyone a hug, you lightly pat their back
  • your dimple
  • your amazing belly laugh... it really does come from deep in the bottom of your soul!
  • the way you pick up a baby and rock it and say "shh"
  • the way you say Sydney - "Syd-ee"
  • you have such a hard time waking up in the morning... you roll around and rub your eyes, and who can blame you?  just like your daddy, you'll be our coffee drinker for sure!

I mean seriously, the list could go on and on and on.  We love everything about you, so those are just a few highlights.  I hope you always feel an immense amount of love from both your daddy and I, and also from Sydney.  We want you to know that whatever decisions we make - we are doing it out of all of the love in our hearts.  I hope that you know that Valentine's is just a made-up day, although a fun day, and our hope for you is to show love to everyone each and every day.  We can't wait for the years to come when we can decorate Valentine's boxes, make little gifts for your friends, and fill our homes with love and laughter and lots of candy.

We love you more than anything in the entire world,
Momma & Da-Da
