Hey time, slow down just a bit, will you?
Life is amazing. In the past month, we've turned a corner it feels like. I said it last month, but it's confirmed: things are most definitely easier. Easier, more enjoyable, more fun. They play so much better. I can pick them both up and set down at the same time... without fear of dropping one (well... the fear is dramatically decreased). Bath time is fun and full of splashing. They eat baby food much more like humans. They are happy most all of the time. Ella holds her own bottle. Bottle-feeds are like a breeze - sit next to Ella to help if she needs it, and feed Sydney. This weekend, Daniel said "I'm going to Walmart" - and just left. We didn't even care what time it was or when the girls needed to be fed. What!?!? That's crazy talk. Don't worry it's the calm before the storm. Before they start crawling around, and I have to keep one from sticking her tongue in the outlet while simultaneously keeping the other from crawling up the stove. So I'm savoring every moment of "easier".
Sydney is still crazy and always happy. She is always moving, scoots around, takes every.single.toy in front of Ella. She screeches and "talks" and plays hard.
Ella is so sweet and so sensitive. She will scoot over to your lap so you'll pick her up. She fusses when she's tired, which is a lot. She claps now! She loves to be in the exersaucer, or her "happy place" as Daniel and I call it. We'll leave her in there in the playroom and she's happy by herself - just playing solo in an empty room. Haha, that's real good parenting right there! She also will "head-butt" you. If you lean your head close to hers, she will head butt you, and wants eskimo kisses! We love that she now has a "trick" :)
