This season of life with two little ones - so, so fun. They are kind of starting to "get it" - kind of. But they're excited for whatever special little things we have going on, and that's pretty freaking awesome in a parent's world.

Boo x2! |
We kicked off the fun Halloween month with a letter P night! Pizza, popcorn, and a "pumpkin movie". The girls say pumpkin like ponkin' which is so adorable.

Ella & Sydney showing off the biiiiiig ponkin' they found for Daddy at the store* |
*we had gotten three pumpkins at the patch during our Massanutten trip, and they wondered each and every day "Where is Daddy's ponkin'??"
Then we headed to a fall festival with our MOMs group
|
these two love a good bounce house! |
|
gorgeous property |
Up next: annual fall festival at momma's work. We got to debut our ADORABLE Halloween costumes - real life besties: Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck
Since they loooove all things Mickey, they were both thrilled to be dressed up like characters they know!

BFF kisses |
And Sydney's tutu... I know, patting myself on the back (and also waiting for my fingertips to heal from all the hot glue)

Little girls in their pretty tutus
Daddy went to Havana for some boy time, and the girls came home for hot dogs and some cuddling. But first, we had to try on adorable bloomers that Momma has had stashed away for 3 years :)

Bye, Mom |
|
such a fun little party... we even went on a tractor ride to trick or treat at two houses!
P.S. - not an easy task with two 2's... note to self: two adults per two kids on a tractor ride |
|
Look who we found at the party! Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck
*totally unplanned and those are twin boys! |
|
underneath the glitzy costumes are cute little ruffled behinds :) |
We had another fall festival to attend in my parent's neighborhood, so we gave Minnie & Daisy a quick rest, and turned into the two cutest ponkin's you ever did see.

We won 2nd place in the costume contest! A family with triplet-superheroes won first, so if we were going to lose... I'm glad it's to triplets ;)

Recognize those PJs? Yep...

thanks, tablet, for the few minutes of peace and quiet :) |
And just a few days before Halloween, it was time to carve Daddy's biiiig pumpkin! Betcha can't guess what we carved...

There it is... Mickey!
They were OBSESSED |
It's time to dress up and go trick or treating!

"Yook, a yeaf, momma!" |
The girls did great. They both had a stomach bug the day before, but I tell you... kids are so resilient, and were better in time for the big event. It was kind of chilly, so we layered them up and took them out and lasted a lot longer than I had anticipated. They loved knocking on doors and saying "Trick or treeeat!" Like last year, they did think they should go into people's houses. They also preferred to pick out their own candy, and Ella said "thank you, trick or treat" a lot. So, so cute. Daniel and I really had so much fun with them :)

It was starting to get chilly, so we headed back to our cul-de-sac gathering and roasted marshmallows before it was time to put our little trick or treaters to bed.
|
look at how happy Ella is |
The girls racked up on glow sticks from Kim and Jeff, so naturally, they had to sleep with them :)
|
Ella is sleeping soundly :) |

Sydney, on the other hand, is wiiiiide awake |
We are very much looking forward to the magic that the Christmas season brings with these two!
super cute girls! where did you get the daisy bottoms for the costume? :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with the previous post! I'm also wondering about the Daisy bottoms - did you make them!? If so, would you mind sharing how you did it? I love it!
